Craig Banks is a bespoke tailor who keeps no shop. He works the older way: by appointment, wherever the work is wanted, anywhere the diary requires. A first call sets the brief; after that the cloth, the measuring, the fittings and the finished suit all travel to meet you — in Edinburgh, in London, or on the other side of the world.
His standard is a plain one: a suit cut for one body and no other, fitted as many times as it takes to be right, and delivered by hand. He would rather the work spoke before he did. Clients tend to arrive by way of a conversation, and this page exists so the conversation can continue.

The Consultation
It begins with a call.
A conversation about the commission: the occasions the suit must serve, how you like to dress, what the wardrobe is missing. From this brief the cloths are chosen and the case is packed.
The Visit
The cloth comes to your table.
Craig comes to the place that suits — an office between meetings, a hotel in another city, a house in the country. Cloth and books are laid out, the measure is taken properly, and the decisions are made at your pace and in your own light.
The Fitting
Until it is right.
The suit returns in stages and is corrected on your shoulders, as many times as it takes. There is no fixed number of fittings, only a fixed standard.
The Delivery
The final visit.
The finished suit arrives as it was made: in person, wherever you are. Craig sees it onto your shoulders himself, and the commission is not finished until you say it is.
